Cargo compartment won't unlock

HELP......we are on a road trip and the lock on one of the cargo bays won't open. We have a 2015 AS which I understand is a new lock. The key will enter the tumbler and you can jiggle it but it won't turn, I sprayed the lock with silicone spray and the key slides in and out fine. I noticed on the other locks that the key will turn a quarter turn and a small latch slides into the black lever. I have tried pressing on the door and the black latch with no success. The lock worked fine last Wednesday but would not work this morning. Any ideas.

Try lifting the key vertically and/or lowering it as you try to turn it. Then try pushing it in just a bit or pulling it out just a bit as you try to turn it. If you have multiple keys that are supposed to open that lock, try them all.

Thanks, great advice. Funny thing happened I sprayed the lock and the handle with silicone spray then drove from Albuquerque to Angle Fire NM and when I tried the lock it was unlocked and I could twist the handle and everything seems to work fine.
