Buttons on Baraldi range hood

On our maiden voyage this past weekend with our 2016 International, both slide buttons on the Baraldi range hood fell inside the unit. I had to grab them with a needle nose pliers to pull them out. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, can you please advise on how to fix it? Yes, I know that it's under warranty, but I'd rather fix it myself, if possible, than tow the trailer to the nearest dealer which is 1 1/2 hours away. Thanks.

My wife was able to reach inside to hold the base while I pushed the trim piece on, you must make sure the switch components line up. We had Airstream look at ours and they found installing the trim upside down provided a more secure fitting. It has worked so far and we had put ours back together twice before. Bad design

We had the same issue on our 2014. We had Airstream replace the switch with a new one when we were in Jackson Center and the new one seem to be beefier than the original. It is apparently not that hard to replace if you are handy. I would have your dealer send you the replacement switch set and then you can do this yourself and save the trip to the dealer.

See this post in a link. Easy to fix if the prongs haven't broken off.

We were two weeks into our new Rivet Life and the same thing happened. Dealer probably should've warned us but it is a cheaply made switch it seems. Hope to replace not fix because one of the posts are broken.

The one link the other replier made is a good one.
