Bird Poop

Is there anything I can use to get the bird poop stains of my shiny Streamline? I tried using a little vinegar and baking soda but it doesn't remove the stain. The stain almost seems deeply embedded.

Several years ago at an RV show we bought a spray cleaner called "Holy Cow". That stuff really works to remove stains, bugs, etc. It was on the warehouse inventory list of Ace Hardware, and I remember ordering a case of 4 gallon jugs. I understand that the manufacture of it has been discontinued, but there is always the possibility that some may still be available at Ace Hardware - they may not have it in the store, but they may be able to order it from their warehouse.

I have had good success with Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax on my wife's Miata, which is British Racing Green, and shows every little bird poop stain, tree sap, etc. I see no reason why this product would not work on the Airstream, although I have not yet tried it.

I've just finished polishing and haven't tried anything on the newly polished surface yet, but I used rubbing alcohol to get off the bird poop and sap before polishing. I would think the same would work on the polished surface also. It definitely dissolves the poop!

It appears that there are several different kinds to choose from....

We have both the pink and the green. The pink is the one I use mostly; the green is for greasy and oily stuff.

If it has stained the aluminum and it sounds like it has use a motorcycle exhaust debluer such as Blujob (Ebay).Designed to remove stains from brightly polished aluminum. You will waste your time with cleaners if it is stained.
