Betty Lou '72 First timers Remodel

We bought an Airstream. We bought it from a very nice couple that started a renovation but didn't complete it. We have been working on it for 2 weeks and so far we have removed the woodwork, walls, insulation, and laminate flooring from the previous owner. The subfloor has some bad places so we will be removing the shell next and then the subfloor. Here we go..... wish us luck!

Hi and welcome to the forums...

You will find there are a quite a few of us in your situation.

I have a couple of Airstreams that are in a semi-permanent state of dis-assembly I am currently working on my 1975.

Don't be afraid to dig in and yell for help when needed.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Good luck on your project! I too, have a '72 Ambassador. I'm nearly finished with replacing all of the rotten floor. Post more pics! We all love pics.

Wow! You are well on your way!

Research rear end separation. That is the main source of the leak and rotted wood at the rear end. I am in the process of rebuilding that area on my AS right now.
