Best way to preserve this decal?

Buy a new one. I have on on my 1981 from NC. Yours looks to be pretty weathered out and it is on top of the clear coat.

A google search of "The Great Seal of the State of Ohio stickers" shows several sources online for purchasing such a sticker.

After checking the internet, I'm not sure I want a really bright, colorful sticker on the back. This one looks like it belongs there even if it is worn out. (My trailer looks pretty worn out too

you will most likely find it has etched itself into the skin.

Yes, it does feel like it's part of the trailer, so maybe I don't have to worry about losing it
