I carry a 6t bottle jack. The case it comes in is about 12"x8"x5" and weighs about 6 lbs I guess. I use some pressure treated 2x8's for leveling and if needed to change a tire. The jack is used if I need to get both wheels off the ground OR if the front jack poops out on me and I need to lift the A-frame to get it on or off the ball. It has come in handy a few times.

Concur with the levelers from Andersen or the trailer ramp. They are lightweight and work well on dual axle rigs. Though I used my TV OEM jack this weekend on the return trip home when I noticed my curbside rear wheel was very hot.
Anyone see the cause in the attached photos?

You have an F350 tow vehicle. Take a look at its Jack. I use one from a Dodge 1 ton. Works fantastic on my 30' slider.

Looks like you had something caught between the brake magnet and the drum; the drag caused the brake to activate and cook itself to bits. which also caused the wheel to be hot.
No?

I'm not seeing any friction material left on the shoes.

I second the trailer aid. Amazingly simple, easy to use and inexpensive!

6Ton bottle jack and load spread boards.
Our 3 axle would require multiple Andersons... or, increasing levels of 'Legos'...on the opposite tires.
