belly pan

what metal is used for the belly pan on my 1974 soverign ? is this aluminum because it has holes rotted in it like galvanized does?

where is the best place to purchase these sheets of metal?

I think I used .032" thick 6061-T6 but 5052-H32 will work fine as well. A local metal supply store should have the stuff or can get it. There is probably other rotted stuff above the belly pan. Remove the insulation and paint the frame with POR15. Don't put fiberglass back in.

I used 3003 .032 for the pan, and .027 or .029 (not sure) for the belly wraps...way easier to form

The mother ship sells sheets around 62" wide x however long you need. Its an interesting place to visit, too
