Before I drill and regret it, how thick is the wood in the bottom?
There are light fixtures under there, so I suspect there's a false bottom. Is there a solid wood frame near the back (wall)?

I have not taken mine apart, but I do know quite a bit about furniture making.
There won't really be any "frame" with these cabinets... the structure itself provides its own support.
I would bet those upper cabinets are 1/2 or 3/8 inch plywood.
There may not be a false bottom... they could have just left a channel for the wires before applying the laminate (that's what I would do) but you could measure to be sure.
I would drill a small hole that I knew for sure was not going all the way through. Then I might drive a small screw into the hole VERY slowly and feel the other side. Your fingers should be able to feel the screw deforming the laminate well before it pokes through or creates a permanent bump. Then just measure the screw and you'll have a pretty good sense of how thick the cabinet is.
OR... just call the factory and ask
BUT... before I did any of that, I'd really try to use 3M VHB tape for mounting. No holes. Completely reversible... and super strong.
