Bay Area A/S Service Department

I am looking for feedback on the service department at Bay Area Airstream in Fairfield California. What work was done? Would you recommend them?

Many thanks! Mary D.

Might I suggest Vinnie's airstream in Santa Rosa http://www.vinniesairstream.com. He's the absolute best, a true Airstream whisperer. I wouldn't take mine to anyone else.

Thanks Mvaug45. I appreciate the referral. What sort of work has Vinnie done for you?

Thanks again for your response and your time.

Best, Mary D.

Had my bearings, brakes and hubs replaced by Bay AS and they did a good job...except for telling me that they were self adjusting brakes that needed to be adjusted by backing up and braking hard. Had a smoking down hill ride in the Sierras before I found that out!

I purchased at BarAreaAirsteam and have some after market work done by their service department and had good results. Nice clean facility and just wandering around their showroom is worth the visit.

Thumbs up

We've had our 2008 16' Bambi DWR Airstream serviced by Vinnie as well and would swear by him. He is excellent, honest and reasonable. We've had Vinnie reseal the whole outside, fixed a soft spot in our floor, repacked bearings, installed new jack, and tires. When we got it back, we were not only impressed with the speed and quality of his work, but at the reasonable cost! We would never think of taking our Airstream anywhere else.

Check him out, you'll be happy you did.

Mary I had a major leak during a 10 inch rain storm and he got me right in and dried it out. Re caulked the roof and basically the whole trailer. He re packed and replaced the wheels and brakes. Helped to get me working on small projects that I could handle. Vinnie and his wife Cindy are just wonderful people.

Thanks to All

I appreciate the time all have taken to tell me about their experiences. For those of us living in the SF Bay Area, it is good to know where people go for service and what their experiences have been.

Based on the feedback I have received, I have booked an appointment with Vinnie's Northbay A/S Repair in Santa Rosa.

Best Regards, Mary D.
