Bathing the elephant

Well ..after a better than two and a half year restoration, I finally moved her out and bathed her. I think she looks pretty good for 44.Click image for larger version

Redid the last four feet of frame, floors. Originally was a double with a dresser and closet. The living room couch/bed and the TV cabinet was my creation. But I left just enough to know that she is from the 70s .

Can you tell me more about your basket weave backsplash?

And those funky Art Deco Airstream logos on the mirror - very cool! Are you the person who manufactures those and offered in another thread? They look awesome!!

Really admire your work!

Looks fantastic. I like the floor and the personal touches- the Airstream and like SteveSueMac mentioned, that backsplash is interesting. I need to do something in the bathroom and that may be the ticket!

Beautiful job. I'd love to see more of the bath, looks like you incorporated new stuff in with the old fixtures?

Bathing the elephant

Hey folks thanks again! Bob, anything white, i.e. the plastic fixtures were removed and epoxy painted. Anything metal, mouldings, lights, cabinets, I created. Couldn't stand the old tambor and the mouldings yuck, also the moulding inserts were so brittle they fell apart in my hands. I will take some more shots of the bath and post them later.
