Bambi blow out

Had a blow out on the Bambi, tire did some damage. Ripped out the black and grey water drain valves, and an outrigger off the frame. This is going to cost some change

Your Bambi is listed as a 2008. How old were the tires...original? If not the original any idea as to how many miles were on them. I have a 22' Bambi....it would be good info to know. Thanks in advance.

Oh my goodness, glad now one was hurt. I totaled a T@B with a blowout. It is now a big fear of mine. We get new tires every three years no matter what.

Sorry for the damage, and hope everyone is OK.

Could you fill in some of the details for us, as others have asked? Also, if the blowout happened while moving, did you experience any sway or other control issues?

Thanks,

Peter

I'll lose the nickel.

I'm still going to Michelin as soon as I can get the $ together. They have never done me wrong, even when totally sun rotted they held together and got me to the tire store for replacements. Unlike certain other brands that simply blew with only a few thousand miles on the ground, endangering my entire family. Good thing I had slowed down for heavy traffic after being at 70 mph most of the way....I do not like Firestone, to put it mildly.

The Insurance sub-forum is here FYI:

The list of topics may disclose helpful information.

The original poster may have specific feedback on this event, but not sure if he is still monitoring?

Please tell me the context for the Firestone comment, I've had good luck with them, LT tires.

Had brand new Firestone 721 radial tires blow on my van circa 1990. Refuse to buy their products since
