Back at it

Hi All,
Just ending my summer at the Jersey shore with my 77 International 33ft.
I moved my 67 Safari 22 ft up from the back yard to the driveway so I can begin my remake of it. I have started to strip the clear coat and will begin the polishing after that, then caulking.
I am posting pics of what it is and it's present state.
I had the wheels and brakes checked out and fixed.
Now I would like to start the process but do not know where to begin( kinda scared too).
I want to make sure the frame is ok, the elec is ok, and the plumbing is ok.
I am planning on new systems for heat/ac, inverter, fridge etc.
Is there anybody in the Narvon, PA area that would like to come by to direct me on where to begin???? I have plenty of ice cold home brew to offer!!
I want to make the interior ultra modern like the new ones...love them.

Before you do any interior work, I would make it water tight. That way none of your hard work is wasted. She needs a lot of love, and maybe a new subfloor? Lots of potential there, though!

Yes, great tip. She does have a lot of POTENTIAL alright. It is going to be a lot of work that I hope I can follow thru in a timely manner.
I gutted some, need more but gotta get info on the bathroom panels etc.
I will post more as I go.

Any thing you remove give it a code, record it and take a pic of it. Take a screw driver and go around the floor and poke the floor. Even if the floor looks good it still may be rotted in spots. You will know when you hit a rot spot. Hopefully you will not have any.
OH yeah it is a perfect size. I wish I found it

I guess I will drop the belly panels to check the frame. Hopefully it will not be to bad. I do have the bounce on the rear bumber??? Not sure how to fix that. I rather not take off the shell.
How about the heater situation? Should I abandon the propane heater for a heat pump and AC combo on the roof? Should I leave the propane catalytic heater(replace it) or abandon that also?

Yeah, as Lothlorian said, definitely take lots of pictures and label them as you deconstruct. Even if you go with new parts in some cases, the pictures will help you. There are lots of threads detailing rear end separation and how to fix it. We did lots of reading before fixing. I would guess if it's soft around the toilet, you need a new floor there. We did do shell-on floor replacement in the whole trailer. Shell-off has advantages we didn't appreciate at the time, like being able to flip the frame for repair and new belly pans before putting the floor back on. Shell-on is doable though.
Our heating situation is different than yours. Can't advise you on that one....... someone else will likely chime in!
