Atwood Gas/Electric Water Heater Melted Wires

On the 2004 AS with a Gas/Elec. Atwood MPD93235 water heater, there's a junction box close to the electric element. Inside the junction box there's a relay that clips onto the back side of the cover plate. The relay is part number 93849. I had to replace that relay because of a factory assembly error. Atwood requires the installer to use 90 degree Centigrade wire. Mine was installed with 60 C wire. I have replaced the element and rebuilt the connections with 120 C wire and all the appropriate connectors however everything in the junction box was too melted/burned up to trace which wire goes to which tab on the relay and to the element. I assume the relay turns 110v to 12v which allows the electric element to be switched with a 12V toggle switch mounted on the bathroom wall. My assumption could be wrong. Could someone lead me to a photo of a correctly wired relay in the junction box or site specific instructions? Appreciate any help that's offered! In an effort to cut-to-the-chase, other wiring arrangements that don't specifically use the 93839 relay probably won't be much help.
