Argosy Range Hood Exhaust Cover

Hello all. Our Argosy range hood exhaust cover gasket is shot and leaks water like a sieve. It's only 42 yrs old so I don't get understand.
Does anyone have any ideas about making a new gasket? Is it neoprene?
I doubt very much I can order a new gasket. Here are a few pics.
Any idea would be helpful.
Thanks, George

Did you ever find a gasket for this? I have a 76 Argosy with the same issue, like me I just don't understand how this gasket could go bad after 43 years.

I bought this from Amazon.

Was the correct thickness. Only issue I'm having is that the neoprene seems to stick to the body, so I have to go outside and to unstick it.

Thanks I will have to give that a try! I wonder if a little bit of silicone spray would help it from sticking?

Yes. I had the same thought. I'm sure that would help.
