Anyone seen one of these before?

Hey, been restoring a 1965 Caravel I picked up last year and I cant seem to find a soulion for the broken porch light. I cant get it to work and before I go tearing it out to replace( I actually think I can fix it and even considered having a 3D printed copy made for the cracked cover) I wanted to get some feedback from everyone here. I attached some pictures.

Iím not sure that light is original to the trailer.
Looks just like the dome light they used in 1980ís police cars.

Thanks! Vame across it by chance. It was in an ad for awhile, I was surprised no one jumped on it. The Caravel even came with the original manual.

Thats a good point, it would explain why Ive been having so much trouble finding a similar one like it. The weird part is that there is an original switch(plate matches with the rest of the decor and the box is painted with the same zolatone that the rest of the cabin has) for it.

Smile A Generalist - Anyone Seen One of These?

I wouldn't know if the light was original, a later replacement for an original, or what. However, you can find weatherproof lights at West Marine, Fisheries Supply, as well as other places. If you want to keep as much of what you have as possible, I'd consider going to and looking at their socket, bulb, and COBB style components as a way to increase light output and reducing power consumption and heat inside lamp fixture. I have used their stuff more than a few times to upgrade the guts of antique or otherwise irreplaceable units on boats, cars, trucks.

As for your cracked lens you have several options I can see.

1. You could replace whole fixture - just makes sure you go flat to avoid interference with door and other stuff.
2. You could do what you thought and get a 3D printed copy made of UV resistant material.
3. You could remove the lens, repair the crack with window repair glue or acrylic glue, and then when it is cured ALL THE WAY, use a headlight polishing kit from an auto store to polish the crud off of the lens to make it look better and pass more light through.
Good luck. If it was me I'd try to salvage the lens and fixture as well as upgrading to LED. I hate letting old stuff hit the trash if it can be saved.
