Anyone got one?

Has anyone removed an older Airstream AC that died a mechanical daeth and not disposed of it yet. I need the control board from an late 80s early 90s unit. The board is in the ceiling cover and has fan, compressor, thermostat, and low power functions.

If you have one and want to sell it send me a PM

Howie,

Wow, that IS old!!! Haven't seen one of those in 10 years. We call that a 'ribbon board' due to the ribbon connector cable.

I'm sure I don't have one for that unit.

Sorry.

Haven't found any label to confirm but the word is it should be a Dometic.
But then again that info is from JC and if a good as the other info I got from them it is a guess.

Hold it....
Your problem.might be in the upper board.
The American Zeitler relays burn.... and the 4001 diodes fail. I have these compone ts if you want to give this a try.
Start cap still good?
there is also a thermal switch in the Smith motor thst fails open.

When I apply power the low power light blinks and the green fan light comes on. Both the fan and compressor have tried to come on one time each in 25 attempts for less than a second.

I have not opened the upper unit as I thought the problem was a result of the board getting wet along the lower edge.

Do you have a electric diagram?

Well I resolved the issue. I bought a new AC. Time was pressing in on some summer travel and it was time to cut bait.

Thanks all for your support.
