Aluminum wool supplier?

Does anyone know of an aluminum wool supplier? No luck at my local HD. Online, all I could find is priced at $60 minimum. I suppose stainless steel or brass would do (size 00, to inhibit mouse intrusion). Thanks in advance. - Roy

Roy, I can't help on the aluminium wool, but I have successfully used stainless steel pot scourers for several years with no problems or corrosion. "Stainless" steel quickly forms a very thin layer of oxide, which causes it to be electrolytically passive, which is why "stainless" steel should not be cleaned with an abrasive. I would not use brass because of electrolytic corrosion between the brass and aluminium or steel. The above suggested link to http://www.airforums.com/forum...ead.php?t=2518
"stainless steel wool and mice" is informative.
Nick.

I used strips of aluminum window screening.

Thanks Nick. I checked there first. McMaster-Carr only has stainless steel wool, minimum $83.
