Aluminium shaping

While researching riveting I found a site that I believe will be of interest to folks on this forum. I have no association with this site and am not benefiting in any way! I also did a search for it on AF and did not find any information. The site is Timmantech.com and its associated with aviation sheet meta work etc. Of specific interest was his tools associated with flow forming aluminium. He has rivet gun attachments that hammer metal. Achieving really consistent even results... Just thought I would share it and see if anyone had any experience with similar products or techniques. I will probably pick up a set and play with some banana wrap dents

The procedure he is referring to on the site is called planishing and will work well with the non tempered banana wraps, however do not attempt to planish tempered aluminum such as 2024-T3. Planishing can be done on annealed 2024-0 but will need to be heat treated which will result in 2024-T4.

These sites are very informative but sometimes they omit the alloy which is crucial in the forming process.
