Akron/Cleveland Repair Facility Needed

Hi,
Looking for someone/repair facility in the Akron/Cleveland Area that works with Airstreams. Just want someone to examine my axle, brakes, bearings...etc and replace if needed. Also have to get new tires and don't know if I should get LT tires this time around. Any recommendations on places to get my tires?
If not, any members out there that want to help a newbie Airstreamer out? Would like to repack my bearings but have never done an Airstream.

You are so close to Jackson Center Ohio where they are made, consider going to the factory for your service. It is top rate.

My understanding is they are booked way out in advance. You have two AS dealers close by, one in Columbus OH and one we use in Greensburg, PA whom we recommend with exceptional mechanics and good prices. Airstream of Western PA. We have not used the one in Columbus and no nothing about them. Have three AS experiences with AS of Western PA in Greensburg. Talk to either Alex or Carl the two mechanics.

P&S are excellent...did not know they also do mechanical repair. As far as doing your own wheel bearings...if you've done anything else, the AS is no different. I took everything I learned as a Teenager and did my own bearings, brakes and seals. I could also but would not likely change bearings since the races need to be pressed out and in.

The wheel bearings are easy to do take the hubs off clean everything repack the bearings and replace the seals . The are many videos on how to do the job . I bought tires and wheels at Discount tire if you do that make sure they know how to jack up an Airstream

+ 2 on JC. I go there twice a year for service. As for tires, I got my LTX tires and 16" wheels at JC. Their price was very good. You do have to call ahead and book the service - depending on the time of year, the advanced booking can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.

I live in Strongsville and have a local shop here that is repacking my bearings. They did a jack repair and a little electrical work for me a couple years ago. Knowledgeable and reasonable.
