Airstream warranty

Hello, I just, buy at US Adventure RV of Chicago a new 27 feet Airstream. On my return to Quebec (Canada), I noticed that the handle of fantastic fan is broken. I asked the manager to Us Adventure Rv to sent me the handle so I can change it. It is only two screws to unscrew. He tells me that it can not do that because of warranty issues. It is my third new Airstream. The first two one but at Colonial Airstream. Whit Colonial we proceeded this way because the Airstream dealer closest to me is 6 hours away. So is it true that he can not send me the piece by mail because Airstream do not allow this for warranty issues????

The fan is warranted by Fantastic Fan Co. Call them for a replacment part.

Be sure to read the documentation for all your various devices and appliances that come with your new Airstream. In some cases the warranty on various components can exceed the original Airstream warranty. I remember having a burnt out light on my system control panel. The manufacturer's documentation showed a 5 year warranty. I called them and they promptly sent me a new panel.

On the other hand sometimes the Airstream warranty is greater than the manufacturers warranty. A good example with the air conditioner shroud. Two years warranty on the shroud from Airstream, 6 months if you had bought the unit directly from Dometic.

Call Airstream directly. They have always helped me and have been excellent to deal with. They have sent me parts directly. You can also call Fantastic Fan. They will help. I've had excellent customer service from them too.

I agree! I'm confident that between 'Fantastic' and 'Airstream' they will get you taken care of.
However, if I were you, I would remember this situation when it comes time to buy a new trailer. I just feel any dealership that can't (won't) remedy such a minor problem for someone who just purchased a high-ticket item, such as a new Airstream, certainly deserves no confidence when it comes to servicing/correcting anything major that may occur.
My reaction would be to bypass this facility for any future purchases.
But, that's just me.
I'm sure you will get the problem resolved by dealing directly with 'Airstream' & 'Fantastic'. You simply shouldn't have to.

Hi, I had a small problem with my new trailer too. George Sutton mailed the new piece to my house.

Sounds like your dealer is interested in getting the labor fee which is probably much greater than the part cost.
