Airstream Safari Skin Repair

Dear Airstream friends,

I have a 2008 Safari that was stored in a warehouse for the winter. The warehouse roof had a leak and caused some nasty problems with the A.S. skin. The skin had some white fungus on it which burned into the clear pretty bad.

I tried to wipe it off, clean it off, compound it off, but not luck.

so I tried to wet sand the skin lightly 2000 grit and it did not come off at all. I had to use 800 grit the problem area and removed the issue.

I am trying now to get the skin back to its oringal look. But no luck.

I clearcoated the skin after sanding the problem areas away. Please let mek know how I can get skin back to a shine without going to the dealship. LOL

Thank you for your help.
