Hey t walgamuth,

Sorry for all the side tracking here...it just happens somtimes and I take FULL responsibilty for this one!

As an Airstream Dealer that does this kind of repair quite often, if you are that close to the mothership, by all means take it home for the repairs...not only will you get top quality work...you will get to enjoy looking around at the place where the " Best Travel Trailer in the World" is made!

otoh tom...

IF your idea of a pleasant winter trip isn't northern ohio...

the folks at g's shop DO DO great panel replacements, i've seen their work...

bill, who does these skin repairs is very good/particular about the results.

and arkansas is usually warmer than ohio in feb...

still the work is labor intensive and that drives the price issue...

cheers
2air'

love that rr tune, but i'm more furry than fast, watch out 4 the coy o tees!

I can get a price from both places. I wouldn't mind a road trip to arkansas for a few days this time of year. I have relatives down there and I may need to go that way anyhow soon.

If you do make the JC trip and need a couple more points of interest in Dayton to burn a few hours in addition to the AF Museum: There is the Dayton Art Institute and there is an excellent Packard Automobile Museum downtown, If the kids are along, The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery can use up most of a dayin a positive way.

So it is near Dayton? My oldest daughter and her family live in Colombus so it will make a nice thing to do to end up there for a couple of days if necessary. I got a price from Chris and it is pretty reasonable, I think so probably I will go that way.

OTOH I have a fellow who is interested in buying it with the dent in it.....so that would be the simplist.

Thanks to all who have contributed to my needs here.

I am planning to drop it off at the factory tomorrow to have the repairs done. I am looking forward to it.

Thanks again for the help here.
