Today as I replaced my first popped rivet with a new Olympic rivet following advice and instructions from this forum, I started thinking about how much I enjoy working on my Airstream as well as camping in it.

It may be as simple as replacing the rivet, or hanging new drapes. Just the act of "puttering around" brings joy and a sense of accomplishment. It is also nice to know that the changes and improvements made will make our family camping experience better and more enjoyable as well.

The last 3 years we have gone out of town on backpacking/hiking trips approximately 20 weekends a year. Usually the summer is nonstop.

However, now that the trailer project is in full swing, it is becoming difficult to "lose" a weekend to backpacking when I could be installing more subfloor or maybe even getting started on the electrical. I'm so addicted.
