I'm replacing Window gaskets now waiting for Capt. Tolley's Creeping crack cure to come in to put above windows. Also have to replace gaskets on top. Need to pull water tank and repair leak. Always something.

Have any of y'all replaced axles yet? If so, what have you used? I'm trying to see what alternative I have other than using the axles from Collin Hyde or Inland. If the issue is welding more brackets, that's not a problem for me.

I got dexter axles. Inland ordered them, and I picked them up at Redneck Trailer supply. Inland gave them the specks, but you could do it your self if you want to cut out the middle man.

I must say, inland was very helpful, and helped choose the right weight. I think I have a thread on it some where on this site.

I've talked to Inland also, but I know other people have gone with regular trailer axles which were cheaper, but just needed additional brackets welded. That's what I'm trying to find out

Im in Houston Heights restoring a 1977 Argosy.
Subfloor replacement, complete interior, axles, paint, ect.
Regarding axles.
Inland sends the shock mounts separately, you will need to weld them on.
You will also need to widen the notch for the axle tubes on the frame and slot the front bolt holes. I probably should of done more research or asked more questions, they wont mention the need for modifications . Inland use to carry Henschen axles which were factory but went out of business. What Inland sells now are Dexter axles from Redneck. Dexter makes great axles and Im very pleased with what I received. They are actually about 3" wider than the originals. This is nice because it centers the wheels inside the wells.

I am in the Kemah area. Minor rehab on a 64 Bambi ii. So far has had new axles, tires, wheels, windows, running lights and roof vents. Full exterior polish. Just finished rewiring new voltage converter/power distribution center.
Appliances are next.
