You ought to at least provide the model year.

I am going to venture a guess that the coach in question is probably a 1972 through 1974 as the Argosy 28 became the Argosy 29 in 1975 if my notes are correct. There are variables for each of the measurements that you desire as optional equipment can impact each of the measurments.
  • Empty Weight -- base coach without options or fluids
    • Rear Bath -- Twin Beds -- 4,020 pounds
    • Rear Bath -- Double Bed -- 4,940 pounds
    • Side Bath -- Double Bed -- 4,370 pounds
    • **Remember options can add several hundred pounds.
  • Width of the coach has one usual variable that can add between 4 and 6 inches and that would be the awning arms if the coach is equipped with a patio awning.
    • The factory lists the floor widt as 7 feet 8 inches -- and that would be without optional awning or any other optional equipment that might protrude from the side of the coach.
    • For a coach with an awning, an estimate would be 8 feet 2 inches as the awnings were typicall rectangular armed and the arms didn't hug the countours of the coach very tightly.
  • Height, again, is a measurement that is impacted by a number of variables -- axle condition (sag if old -- increased departure angle if new) -- presence or lack of Air Conditioner -- presence or lack of roof-mounted TV/Radio antenna -- presence or absence of optional roof vents.
    • The factory lists the standard height without air conditioning as 8 feet 10 inches.
    • Air Conditioner height varies but a good estimate would be to add 12 inches or a height of 9 feet 10 inches.
  • I couldn't find the document with the confirming figures, but my notes indicate that the Argosy 28 was 28 feet 8 inches fromt the tip of the hitch to the outer edge of the rear bumper.
The only way to get precise measurements for an individual coach is to have it weighed on a commercial scale and have a reliable person take the coaches unique physical measurements.

Good luck with your investigation!

Kevin

Dimensions

Hi,

Is there a table that has all the airstream models dimensions on it?
I'm looking to buy & ship one and it would be a great reference to have.

Thanks & Merry Christmas.

Great response to alan ashford!

I am looking to purchase an airstream and don't know too much about it, is there anybody out there that knows their stuff and acts as a consultant for buyers?
