If you don't have ducted air, it's not worth owning a pre 2015 Airstream.

I'm a 2012 owner And yet - I DROOL over those 50s whale tails that show up at rallies :-)

It ain't about getting what you want - but wanting what you got.

Love my pre-2015 non-ducted trailer and can't wait to take it out in about 100 days :-)

Fortunately, my '74 was a beta test run of ducted air...

Can't sleep. I just know my skylights are gonna leak if I don't replace with Maxims.

Glad that 40gal barrel of Boeshield showed up yesterday. I should have enough to dip my trailer twice.

Ah, forums. Gotta love 'em.
Purple tanks? AS has a wine tank option now? Sure wish I had one.

9. Get rid of you hot water heater and install an "on demand" version

These are things that are indeed on my list... I'm coming up short however on the extra bucket of watts, can't locate a proper left handed monkey wrench and still looking for the exhaust spark plug. It's nowhere in the owners manual and the mothership won't return my calls...

Well, this does tend to be a belt and suspenders crowd. I've always found it curious that the discussion here is much more centered around trailer issues than, say, travel and camping. I try to be prudent about setting up, equipping and maintaining my trailer but it's really just a tool, a means to an end that facilitates getting out on the open road.

Cheers,
John

The best thing about advice on the AirForums, like advice from any source* is that you don't NEED to follow it!
Nah, the forums ARE "THE PLACE" for the inside scoop. Just think if the SOB trailers had a forum what it would be like!

I believe it depends on what thread you attend to. I learned about good cast iron stuff from a member, the best chairs from Pharmgeek, some good spots to camp from others like Elkmont, etc. I have to say that I am thankful for the issue sharing and I don't wear suspenders

As Protagonist said, the forum is going to contain issues and solutions but you do not have to follow them either as preventative or as your own solution. I WILL say that I have learned a lot from these people! As AldeanFan says, there are lots of debates. I snicker when I hear people going to pull their new AS with a Corolla per se and Bobby told them it could do it, but even then, there is something to learn in the details as others discuss the issue. Airforums is a healthy environment where people do deal with issues and share their ideas. I have been on forums that little can be said or else it and you are deleted. That benefits no one really. Welcome and READ ON!
