Advice on New AC

Hi All,

Need some help on replacing my AC. I am currently remodeling a 1978 Excella 500. I looked at reviews between Coleman and Dometic brands and decided that I liked the Coleman reviews better.

My problem is the drip pan that Coleman uses. Apparently these do not work in Airstreams.

I called Airstream and they said they only use Dometic 2 cup systems.

Does anyone have an experience replacing their AC with a Coleman?

I have not removed the old AC, didn't want to take it out before I was ready to replace with the new.

Any help would be much appreciated!

"Apparently these do not work in Airstreams."

And you need more reason?

I've always had Dometic.
