Advice on installing a new cargo hatch please.

I'm installing a new cargo hatch in a 2010, hole is perfect, surface is clean. I was going to use butyl tape as I have on SOB rvs. Looking at the exhisting hatch it is obvious something else was used at the factory. What's the proper sealant ? Also Olympic rivets O.K?
Thanks!

Since no one responded to this I ordered some Sikaflex 221 grey and some Olympic rivets along with the not included gasket to install the new hatch door. Am I on the right track?

Access door for a storage compartment. I'm actually using one to fill the void where I removed the heater on our 27 FB.

A good bead of sikaflex or vulkem and Olympic rivets is good to go. Have you got the rivet shaver? When I'm doing an install like this i'll make sure I get some sealant on the back side of the rivet holes so a little squeezes out when fastening the rivets, helps to seal around the rivet shaft and hole.

Advice on installing a new cargo hatch please.

It's nice to know I'm on the right track, so many sealants available!
I'll either borrow a shaver from a friend or dremel them carefully.
Thanks!
