AC unit

I have a 71 sovereign 31 and it needs a new air conditioner we found some on camp world but I'm not sure that it will fit how do I find out the size I need... is it different for Airstream (not BTU but physical dimensions) (I'm an Airstream noob)

Use caution as to what brand you choose.

The AC must have a built-in water collecting pan, or an after market drain pan, so that the water can be directed into the drain tube, and then on the ground.

If not, then the water will run down the sides of the trailer.

Assuming you have the original Armstrong ac unit, consider repairing it. I found a replacement compressor for mine for $100. That and a freon charge later and I was in business.

I was quoted $800+ for a new dometic. A newer style ac will require modification to your roof for alternative bracing which is more expensive than a typical swap.

There are several threads you can search for options.
