Interesting you should bring up that toaster recall....

I heard about it as I was sitting at the kitchen table with this one all apart

giving it a good cleaning.

Toastmaster model 1B3, 1932. Still working like new

Yes, it comes with us Streaming, it just seems to fit!!!

I need to see if my toaster has any recalls as well. We have been using this one for a few years.

Lightbulb Toaster "alternative"

On a recent trip, we toasted bread, as well as sandwiches, on a dry frying pan (OK, one side at a time). Just keep the gas flame no higher than medium, and disconnect your smoke alarm. You can't see any smoke (unless you've waited too long), but our alarm is sensitive. Once the pan is warmed up, each side of the bread takes no more than 60 seconds to toast (check the bread/sandwich at least every 60 seconds). No appliances necessary!

I feel like an underachiever

1933 Calkins Appliance Co. toaster and coffee pot warmer.

It still works fine so haven't had to deal with any recalls...
