A Couple of Minor Repair / Maintenance Questions

Hi all,

I have a 2004 19' Bambi with a couple of minor repair / maintenance items that I need to address.

#1 I noticed when I was washing it yesterday that the putty around the tank vent on the roof has dried and started to crack. I'm not seeing any indication of any interior leaks thus far but would like to seal that back up. Can anyone tell me what type of putty to use and should I attempt to remove the old putty before applying new?

#2 The sliding privacy screen that separates the bed from the galley has a broken hang tab on the leading end that attaches to the cabinetry when closed. Is there a way to replace this tab or do I need to replace the whole leading end or, worse yet, the whole screen?

Thoughts on #2- We have the same problem on our 19. The (cheap) plastic tab that holds the leading end of the screen in the upper track has become mis-shaped and rarely stays in place after popping it back in, especially after travel.

Since we have never really use the screen and never had "guests" that we needed to wall off, I'm actually thinking of completely removing the screen. When folded, it projects out about four or five inches, and to us it's also dead weight. If we want privacy, we close the blinds. Removing it might give the illusion of slightly more room.

Yeah, unfortunately we use the screen quite a bit so removing it isn't an option for me.

Does anyone know if this part (or the whole screen) can be ordered - maybe directly from the manufacturer?
