Thoughts on #2- We have the same problem on our 19. The (cheap) plastic tab that holds the leading end of the screen in the upper track has become mis-shaped and rarely stays in place after popping it back in, especially after travel.
Since we have never really use the screen and never had "guests" that we needed to wall off, I'm actually thinking of completely removing the screen. When folded, it projects out about four or five inches, and to us it's also dead weight. If we want privacy, we close the blinds. Removing it might give the illusion of slightly more room.
