A.C 'squirrel wheel' needs oil

I am about to pull off the shroud to the AC unit on top...I have done this before and was wondering is there a better way to get oil to the bearings that govern the squirrel wheel fan below. It's not froze up but needs to move free er...I have used zoom spout and got good results but is there a better more direct way to oil?
