'93 Excella Tire Replacement

Just bought a 25' 93 Excella. Tires are around 7 years old and I am going to replace them. Couple of questions:

1) What would be a fair installed price for four 225-75-15 tires? Any certain brand?
2) Anyone know of a place to get them installed besides Camping World in N.E. Ohio?

Thanks in advance!

I recently replaced the tires on my 1988 Excella for about $470. That's four new, steel belted ST rated tires mounted and balanced. Plenty of discussion on the website about this subject. I would add that this is an excellent time to have the brakes checked and perhaps repack the wheel bearings.

Any competent tire store can replace your tires. That being said:

1. Watch them like a hawk when they go to jack up your trailer.
2. Avoid any tire made in China (or Malaysia, Vietnam ...)
3. Have them inflated as per the placard on your Airstream.

Lots of tires around on the Internet. I use DiscountTireDirect.com for my tires. Best prices and free shipping. In St. Louis they have multiple agreements with different tire dealers that give you mounting, balancing and disposal of the old tires for $16.50 per wheel. Not only did I save on the price of the tires but due to current laws, the purchase was sales tax free.

Since you just bought the trailer, it might be a good idea to have this all done at Jackson Center. They can make sure that the running gear is all OK, and they will have appropriately rated tires for you. You will need to call them first to arrange an appointment, and then be there the day before (there are hookups at the terraport). The work will be done while you wait.

I did precisely that when I bought my trailer in 2011, and have been servicing there ever since.

I don't think you will find a US made ST tire on the planet Goodyear Marathon is made in China .

Jackson Center can install the Michelin LT225/75R16/E LTX M/S2 tires on the 16" SenDel T03-66655T wheels and the tire issues will much lower on the worry list.
