Can anyone direct me to where I might find an airstream side mount radio antenna or do i just buy a side mount antenna from an auto parts store? Also what are owners doing with the old tv antenna now that there obsolete? Thanks
Any side mount car radio antenna is just fine, there was nothing special about the AS one other than it was common and available. The TV antenna is not obsolete at all, and will work just fine with the digital signals as it did with the analog ones. The only thing that changed from the antenna standpoint is that ch 2-6 are no longer used, but in some areas 7-13 frequencies are, as well as UHF ones. If you have a batwing antenna it might help to get the conversion accessory which will make the UHF signal stronger, but I would try it as is. Of course you need a TV which will pick up digital signals, or a conversion box.

That's the point. There is nothing obsolete about the old antennas.
They work great. I get excellent reception from my Braund Skyliner. Great HDTV and even regular and HD FM.
Who keeps telling people the old antennas are obsolete anyway? The same people that told people that they needed a special antenna for color TV back in the 50s and 60s? BS then and BS now.

Here's an original style side mount antenna. I'm not sure what came on an 88 but, on earlier models this is a direct replacement for the original.
