'82 excella main zip dee awning will not open

Please if someone knows how to open an 82 zip dee awning please help, mine seems to be stuck on the roof will not move, the round screw downs were rusted so I had to drill them out but still will not lift off the roof and unroll?

I have a 94 excella. My zip dee has a lever on the right side of the awning where the right support arm connects to the main awning tube. The lever has a round hole in the end. You use the rod to insert into the hole and pull the lever out. The lever releases the awning so it can unwind. I also have two tension wheels, one left and one right, that have to be unscrewed and toggled away in order for the awning to be pulled out.

You may find some hints in this thread. I had a 75 Sovereign that had a stuck awning, also.
