'78 argosy engine accessory access

Hi new to the life. Just acquired a 1978 Argosy 28, on the way home from purchase all the belts let go.
I'm trying to figure out how to get to the engine accessories, the engine access panel flips up but I'm having trouble getting to the front of the engine. Access from underneath or the front isn't helpful.
Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks for any advice

Nicholas

You have opened the engine access cover between the seats, I assume. That is how virtually all access to the engine is done, including the belts.

Hi Nichols and welcome to the insanity. I can't swear to the 78 but on my 82 and many others the panel that the flip up part of the engine cover hinge is attached to comes off by removing about 10 or 12 1/4" bolts. Once removed the entire top of the engine is exposed. Good luck.
