'71 Tradewind vent fan help.Low speed quit.

Front factory ceiling vent low speed quit working. There seems to be a green capacitor of some sort attached to the top of the toggle switch right next to the fan. Anyone have any experience with this?

Kinda assuming the capacitor or whatever it is somehow reduces current to give you the low speed.Need to get parts ordered ASAP. Any ideas about what and where I might find them?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

This one has worked correctly for years, but low speed quit the other day.Three position toggle switch. Low-off-high.

Tom.

That is a "resistor" not a capacitor.

The correct part is a 10 (ten) watt one ohm resistor.

Radio Shack is the best place.

The cost to ship one is far greater than the cost of the part.
