2004 16' Bambi Cabinets Fell Down
Hi-
We have a 2004 16' Bambi International. About 3000 miles into our trip this year the rear cabinet above the bed completely fell down. During the trip I replaced 9 screws in the overhead part with larger screws. The screws in the rear part that is perpendicular to the rear wall were fine- it was just the over-head screws. We traveled home- another 3000 miles and the rear cabinet is about to fall down again and the front overhead cabinet is now very loose. We don't know why this is happening- we have kept normal weight in both cabinets. What we need to know is what is the best permanant fix as the we are concerned about the rear cabinet falling down one night and crushing us while sleeping . Thank you for any help!!

Some later models have a 90 degree angle aluminum piece that goes from the bottom back of the cabinet to the wall. You may need to do something similar.

Sorry to hear of this problem, dickyaugo. What is the weight rating on your spring bars, assuming you are using a weight distributing hitch, and what is your tow vehicle?

replace screws 1 at a time with Olympic rivets . then go back and put new rivets between the others .
have done this repair on several ccd's and holds fine.
don't know when j-center decided rivets were too much trouble ?
