1974 toilet loose

Hello Helpful folks,
I have a 74 airstream and the toilet is VERY loose. I just took it off the bolts and found the metal plate that supports it is rusty and it seems perhaps the floor around the toilet is also rotting. ANY suggestions about the BEST way to repair this would be gratefully received!

Replace the floor and install a new toilet flange.
If it is like the one in our '74. It was made with 1/4" plywood. I built a new box over the black water tank out of 3/4" treated plywood. Installed a new toilet flange. Now it is nice and solid.

Huh. I thought the floors were 9/16" or 1/2" thick. Quarter inch sounds kind of light.

If the toilet sits up 10" or so inches above the floor. Which is the way it is in the Argosy. It is not sitting on 3/4" plywood.
In the Argosy the black water tank is above the floor. Not sure what your coach layout is.

Our AS '74 Sovereign has at least 1/2" thick floors, stool sits right on the floor.

We have the rear bathroom layout.

I can't see 1/4" being able to hold up a large adult without some steel reinforcement...

Sounds like it is at least 1/2" since the toilet sits directly on the floor. Not on a platform above the floor.
New floor section, new toilet seal and flange. Look to be the order of the day.
