1973 31ft International

I am very close to purchasing a 31ft 1973 International (bath in rear, twin bed). The price is $5000. The outer skin is good, small dent in the front. No couch, no toilet, mouse issue. Its been sitting for 5yr. in CO and another 4-5 yr sitting in Wyo.
After reading about another owner who had bought a 76' trailer and discovered the chassis was no good, now I have cold feet.
What should I do? Plus the owner is kinda old and disorganize, not able to put his finger on the title.
PLease advise.

Sounds like a decent price but you need to really do your research. Check the floor for rot,where the floor is damaged from leaks is where the frame may be rusted as well. That model is susceptible to rear end separation, sagging frame. You can always negotiate from there if you still want the trailer and are looking for a good project. Go check out the trailer and post a bunch of pictures, especially of any issues you might see.
If the title is in the owners name he can always file for a lost title replacement
