We just bought a vintage Airstream and the rear signal/brake lights are quite dim. They are T1034s and I see LED replacements but the reviews are quite mixed. Some seem way too large to fit in the small cavity. Anybody out there have a recommendation?
Two things , paint the buckets flat white, check for voltage drop from front to rear.
My tail lights had a 1.5 volt drop due to all the double bulb clearance lights. So I installed a relay for the rear tail light circuit at the rear next to the battery. I also painted the tail light buckets and installed new lens. Now they are nice and bright.
When I get to the exterior project the clearance lights will be replaced with led units.

I had changed all my exterior lights to LED's, clearance & tail/signal lights. Got all of them from Dan. LED's draw far less current than the old incandescent bulbs, plus being hard-wired there is no issues of corroded contacts of the bulb bases.
