Good news....and the bad news....

Good news I was able to move the airstream on existing tires for winter storage. will replace them in the Spring. The very dissapointing news is we lost the small access door on the trip. It must have fallen off during our short drive. Does anyone have one for sale or have any ideas.

Check with Andy at Inland RV or go to Vintage Trailer Supply. Replacements are a bit pricey....Tim

Stephen can you give me the dimensions and possibly a picture of a similar door including a close up of the lock. I may have exactly what you need.

Chris I'll see if I can get a picture for you from someone here on my thread as well as one of the opening. I'll measure it.

I've got a stock photo of a '66 from interior
She's in storage, so it'll be a bit before I can snap a detail shot...

Maybe there is a fabrication shop near you? THey can do all sorts of things with aluminum and steel. You would need dimensions and a photo, then you can buy a cam lock.

I purchased a rear compartment on ebay from a man in Oregon. He makes them. It fit my 1964 Airstream Safari. He can make you one any size you need. Here is his email address:

Just got an email from Steve (The man in Oregon that makes the compartment doors) and if you send him an email, and give him time to get back to you, he can make one for you. Be patient as he is slow to respond. I was very happy with the one he made for me.
