1964 Sovereign Question

I'm thinking of purchasing a 1964 Airstream Sovereign. The interior is immaculately renovated but I don't know if there are any trouble spots I should be looking for based on the age (i.e.- common problems found with this model). The owner has taken out the heating unit underneath the sink and has replaced the exhaust outside with just a panel. Therefore, the only heating device is the other kind-of space like heater in the front. Any worries?

Pics will help out the pros on here but at that age you need to know if axles have been replaced, what is the condition of the floor, and a few other things worth looking at.
The furnace is inoperable on mine as well. (1984) While I do want to make it work eventually, it is not really much of a concern as an electric space heater works fine. But it is important to note I am not in a cold weather environment. The furnace did more than heat up the interior space, it will also heat up your water and waste tanks to keep them from freezing.

Does that mean that I wouldn't have a water heater for the shower or is that a separate system? btw- thanks for replying.

Two different systems.
My furnace is under the stove. The furnace is for your heat, you will find heat ducts under the lower cabinets (perhaps the bed) and vents that blow the heat into the interior space. Ours has twin beds in the middle and the heat ducts all run down low on the curb side. It would blow up front, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, bathroom (rear bath) and down into the tanks. I doubt he covered all the vents inside when he took out the furnace. See pic below looking aft from the front of the trailer. Furnace is under the cabinet on left side. See round vent duct at bottom? Also the space heater in mine is under the paisley cover my wife built.

Your water heater is probably accessible from outside. Think of your water heater in your garage at home, only tiny! Light the pilot, hold the switch for a few seconds and then light the flame. See pics. Outside of trailer, behind rear wheel you will see an access panel. That is our hot water heater. (they put them in various places based on specific trailer design) Next pic is looking in that panel at the hot water heater. Don't be hatin! I know it is ugly and I have a new one ready to put in!

Any idea what an axle would cost me if I had to replace it?
