1961 Caravan project

Hello all, Im new to the forum and happy to have found it. I recently purchased a 1961 caravan in what I would call pretty rough shape, the exterior looks good with the exception of one hole in a large rear quarter panel.
The interior however is nasty, it was carpeted and has been leaking who all know where, but definitly heavily at the door, the floor is shot. Im wondering if there are any manuals on rebuilding airstreams ??? I am an electrician by trade and very excited about the prospect of restoring this little sweetheart. any and all input is much appreciated.

First of all, welcome to the forum!

This forum is probably the closest thing to a restoration manual you will find! Search through some of the old threads and you will be surprised, alot of your questions, although new to you, have already been discussed with others folks. And if you can't find what you are looking for, ask away! Someone will be sure to answer...

Be sure to check out the photo sectionl...lots of great "how to's" can be found there as well.

Enjoy!

Shari

This is a great site and lots of knowledge here. I'm about to do some floor repair on our 59 Caravanner. Jury is still out on how much.
Grab you a beverage and go through the forums. plenty of information on other peoples experiances. Look in the photo albums for William Henshel's photos. He did a full body off floor replacement. Lots of work but it does provide the best results.
