I'm driving back and forth -- mostly North/South -- through Connecticut with my 6'3" son today. Leaving in 1/2 hour. PM me quickly with your phone number if you have the address and would like us to knock on the seller's door for you. (assuming it is not far off our trip)

Step back and take a deep breath

Good news is the 66 Caravel. They are a favorite of mine. They are also perfect for your plans. Your enthusiasm for the project has you in a bit of a bind now.....and your not alone. Many anxious new buyers dive in without really knowing what they are in for. Lets leave it at that.

Now, regroup! Read the Caravel Forum entries here. ALL...ALL of them. Then take inventory as to what you have. Make your plan, which is a lot of fun, and ask questions. Find good reliable help where you can. Your part of the country has some of the best talent around. Keep it within your means and don't get carried away.

Your Lucky to not have the burden of the Pacer now.

I'm in the process of gutting it, seems to be issues with floor behind shower pan.....more to be revealed
Been there done that I will be picking the frame plus a flipping yoke from the welder today or Monday for sure. The black tank and a sink leak did in the rear floor and a blow out (curb side) damaged the the wheel well part and the door leak sealed the frame off deal! Not as hard as you think.

The welder made a stand and a yoke for flipping the frame. Will take pics when I get it home. May be a thought for belly work.
