10 lbs of ...... in a 5 pound bag

Question and I can't go measure my Airstream because it's about 30 or so minutes away.

How wide is an Airstream? 1976 Sovereign 31 feet long and ______ wide.

Looking at inside storage and hoping that we can squeeze it in there.

Thanks in advance!

8 feet is the exterior width. Subtract about 4 inches for the interior.

Of course, as everything Airstream, it seems to depend on the year and length:

Here's a comment on a vintage one:

And here are modern specs from Airstream:

Thanks for your help.

And I pose another question. Would you continue to store your Airstream outside in plenty of open space or would you park it at an inside storage facility that is 11 feet wide?

My concern obviously is that there is not much room for error.

Definitely inside. As long as you have a relatively straight shot of backing in, it should not be a problem.

I'd go for that inside storage as long as my husband were the one doing the backing in and not me!

Oh, you know it would still be my fault if something happened because I recommended storing it inside. I'll just have to tie buoys on the outside of the darn thing to keep it from hitting the walls.
