Blue - power to trailer brakes
Red - enabling power from brakelights
Black - 12V power
White - ground/earth

For Tekonsha Prodigy P3 and other models.

Over here, black is ground in vehicles, and white is ground in trailers. Red is 12V+, except where white is ground, then black can be 12V+. So it's not uncommon to see a black coming from the battery, changing to a white where the ground is located.

It's all part of our happy-go-lucky nature.
