Brakes

My 7 pin connector cable has some damage, looks like it probably got pinched pretty good sometime in it's life, and I wonder if that could possibly be the culprit? I need to get an amp meter to test the brakes, but wondered if installing a new connector cable might be in order, and how hard is it?
Thanks,
Rod

If you've got a partially broken wire, for sure it could interfere with the system. It's fairly cheap to replace so might be a good place to start.

The separation between the connections in the 7 pin connecter is VERY SMALL. Almost any damage from compression could cause a short between 2 wires.
If you have any question open the plug and check.

When I replace one I like to make the connection with the screws and then solder them to prevent vibration form causing a problem.
