Self adjusting electric brakes.

You never know what's coming up next in the RV industry.

"Self adjusting" brakes are now available. They are however a little more expensive.

The 12 inch self adjusting brakes, are available with stopping power ratings of both 6000 and 7000 pounds per axle.

Obviously, 6000 pounds is plenty.

They can be used to replace any current 12 volt backing plates. No changes of any kind are necessary.

We are told, that the built in mechanism attempts to adjust the brakes, everytime they are applied, going in a forward direction, only.

The brakes have a "built in" limiter, if you wish, that only allows the brakes to be adjusted just so far, until additional wear takes place.

We have checked them out in our shop, and there is no way, those brakes can be "over adjusted automatically." Fantastic.

We have checked and checked and at this point have no other information that we can share about these new style brakes.

We will keep our ears and eyes open for any and all information that may develope and we will like wise post an update, upon receiving any further
specs or data.

Andy

Are these the same as the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust backing plates, or is this something different?

We have the 6000 pound version, but as you know, we cannot post prices on anything we sell.

But, I think we can say, that they are a little more than the standard brakes.
