Rotors for vacuum disk brakes

My 1978 31'Excella needs a brake job. Andy at Inland graciously provided the pads some time ago and I've been holding them for now. Vacuum disks stop the trailer faster than the two vehicle, and I am recluctant to dump them for many reasons.

My plan is to replace as much of the rubber as possible, replace the pads, and, if possible, get new rotors. The rotors have five lugs, and I'll bet they came off a fairly common mid-late 70's car. Does anyone know what car, or must I shuffle through the shelves of a friendly auto parts house until I (hopefully) find them. I can turn the existing rotors of course, but they will almost certainly be thinner than spec.

Te alternative seems to replace the axles. Expensive and unneeded now. Experienced advice deeply appreciated.

Bill. I have never heard of 5 lugs on the disc brakes. They were all made with 6 lug rotors.
Why do you need to turn the rotors? It is not necessary just because you are replacing the pads. The original rotors had the dimensional spec cast into it.
If you wish to go to electric brakes, it is not necessary to replace the axles.
We have all the repair parts for your disc brake system.

Bill,
I have the '77 Excella 500 with Hydra-vac disc brakes and love their performance. The hubs have 6 lugs on them.

Duh

I stand corrected. There ARE six lugs on the rotors.

I'd still like to have new ones. Someone let the pads scrapre deep gouges in the rotors and I don't think they can be turned and not be below their minimum thickness.

Bill,
Do a forum search for brakes, rotors or axles. I remember a couple threads where someone posted a company or two which had replacement rotors.
